How We Use AI-Generated Images
The main thumbnail and model images displayed on our product pages may be created using artificial intelligence. These images are used to demonstrate how a Cashmere scarf Pashmina stole shawl or other accessory may look when worn.
The people shown in these images are AI-generated models and are not real individuals. These images are intended as visual representations and may not reproduce the product’s exact colour texture pattern dimensions fit or proportions.
Original Product Photographs
Our product pages also include original photographs of the actual item offered for sale. Customers should rely on these original photographs together with the written product description measurements material information and condition details when making a purchasing decision.
For preloved products the original photographs provide the most accurate representation of the individual item including its colour pattern texture and condition.
Our Commitment to Transparency
Cashmere Knot labels its use of AI-generated model imagery to help customers distinguish visual presentation images from original product photographs.
This approach supports the transparency principles contained in Article 50 of Regulation EU 2024/1689 known as the EU Artificial Intelligence Act. Article 50 includes transparency requirements concerning certain AI-generated or manipulated content and requires applicable disclosures to be clear and distinguishable. These transparency obligations apply from 2 August 2026.
The European Commission’s guidance explains that these rules are intended to help people recognise AI-generated content and reduce the risk of deception or manipulation.
Our disclosure is provided as part of our commitment to honest product presentation and customer confidence. It should not be interpreted as a statement that every image used by Cashmere Knot falls within a specific regulated category such as a deepfake under the EU AI Act.
